Tennessee State Museum

SO excited for some history.
Apparently this little one was hungry..

The other weekend we had planned on spending all day Saturday at the pool, but then it rained so we decided to head over to the Tennessee State Museum in downtown Nashville and is always free. The museum is really interesting, it has two levels. We spent more of our time on the top level, and learned all about frontier times, and Andrew Jackson.

We were only on the lower level for about half an hour as Kian's first teeth were starting to break through... The lower level has a lot of information about the civil war, and slavery, and there was a TON of clay pots. There is also an interesting art section where Kian hung out with grandma while Brenden and I perused the last half of the museum.

Even though I've made it sound quite boring, it really is interesting.  It has a lot of hands on things for older kids and it's clearly a big field trip destination.  We were there for nearly two hours, there is a lot to see.
