Brenden & the beach

I took Brenden to the crab beach over Labor Day weekend and he enjoyed it by standing in the water and reading.  He is one of a kind, my husband.

There was also a ton of crabs out again.  Brenden discovered that if you throw rocks near them they will run, grab them & check for food.  We watched the crabs for a while, then a storm rolled in and we left to go look at puppies.

CRABS

^crab!^
^crab!^

It was crabtastic at the beach the other day.  Crabs were just crawling around all over the place, even under my towel.  There was one point where I could see 8 crabs at the same time.  I've never seen so many crabs on the beach.

I decided to visit a different area of Kahala beach and it was completely empty (except for the crabs). Of course there wasn't much sand, but that didn't stop me! The emptiness gave me plenty of space to do my thing and enjoy the quiet.

the tide is high

Because my husband will get naked anywhere...

The other day we went to the beach in Kahala... & the beach was gone! The tide was so high that the beach was completely gone.  The beach in Kahala is always small but this time was crazy. We went swimming anyways and left when we decided we wanted to lay on a beach.

kahala

I went out to Kahala to enjoy the sun and swim with the fishies.  I had the beach and the ocean all to myself!  I enjoy snorkeling where there's lots of reef, but this day the tide was so low that I scratched myself on a few rocks. But I saw a ton of fish so I guess that made up for it.

And I have to say, I am enjoying this 50mm lens.
