Recently we haven't been able to find any time to get out to the North Shore and we really wanted to see some big waves. With winter coming to an end and taking the big waves with it, we decided it was now or never and drove up there for the day. We first stopped at Lanikea Beach and watched the waves crash. Lanikea is also a sea turtle sanctuary, which means one half of the beach is always covered in tourists. Brenden was still able to get a good picture of a sea turtle though.
